Much of this has been in the temporary staffing agencies, which are expanding as businesses respond to increasing short-term demand. The Education and Health Services Sector is also experiencing continued strength, with more than 600 jobs added over the past 12 months. Weld County’s growth has been driven primarily by expansion in the oil and gas industry. Over the past 12 months the county’s Mining and Logging, and Construction sectors added over 1,200 jobs, an increase of more than 13% over 12 months. Despite recent gains, however, the sector is still down more than 1,700 jobs over the past three years.
