Describe the nutritional management of fat malabsorption. 3. Explain ways to improve the acceptance of a fat-restricted diet. 4. Describe what MCT is and how it should be introduced into the diet. 5. Discuss the primary nutrition concerns and appropriate management of clients with conditions associated with the following malabsorption syndromes: Pancreatitis Cystic fibrosis Crohn’s disease Ulcerative colitis Short bowel syndrome Celiac disease 6. Describe the adaptive process that occurs in the remaining intestine after a portion of the intestine is resented. 7. Discuss appropriate diets for clients who have undergone either an ileostomy or a colostomy. 8. Describe the nutritional management of diverticular disease.
