Ankur Gupta Dr. Mitchell IHUM- Myth and Modernity 2 June 2005 Project Analysis: Triumph of the Il I have absolutely no qualms saying that this one of best projects I have ever made in my academic career. Given an open-ended opportunity to explore absolutely anything related to the course, I feel that we have narrowed our focus just enough to have created a unique and substantive final product. In this project, Ian Abernathy and I decided to delve into the similarities, complexities, and ambiguities of a very common but simultaneously nebulous term: propaganda. We began our exploration thinking that we would quite simply make a funny movie. Should we have stuck with our original intention, the final product would have been a homemade movie with the two of us and several extras acting out scenes of contrived propaganda for an imaginary country. We planned to intersperse some clips of some North Korean propaganda that we found while browsing the internet and possibly some clips from Triumph of the Will. In addition to all of this, we planned to write a
