Y.o.) … b/c Sahara used to be the sea … Whale valley=”Bay” or protected lagoon o Bas-a-la-sorus … already known … lived in sea full-time … but had “legs” … not known before Pelvis Knee-cap Toes o Earliest ancestor of whales was wolf-like mammal … “Sanannox” Lived near sea Makes sense because whales “Sea predators” like whales on land o Water a source of food and haven o Limbs become fins … and shrink o Lost fur … become sleek and slimline o Now there are a bunch of them (interimediaries) o Nostrils move up the head to the top o Movement Swim unlike fish … move spine up and down
