Kristin Gumbert Cullum October 16, 2007 Surfing I step outside of the house; this step is the best step. I could smell the salt in the air and the sun beating down on your skin. I grab my soft beach towel and my sleek fiber glass board and head to the beach. The walk to the beach isn’t very far only about 3 blocks. The first step onto the beach is equally as good as the first step out of your house but when I step onto the beach, I can feel the sand between my naked toes and the heat of the sand on the soles of my feet. When I look from right to left, all I see is a mass of people. It’s soft of like a rainbow with everyone’s colorful bathing suits, different umbrellas, and towels. I pick a spot that is close to the water and I put my belongings down on the warm sand. Finally it’s time to wax my board; I pull out the box of Palmer’s Wax. It comes in a red, white, blue and black cardboard box. There are two sticks of wax attached to each other like the twin pop ice pops. I take a big whiff of the wax; Palmer’s Wax smells
