Learning Module on Research Education LEARNING MODULE INFORMATION I. Course Code EEDM 301/ENGM 301/SEM 301 II. Course Title Introduction to Research Education III. Module Number One IV. Module Title Nature of Research V. Overview of the Module It is written specifically to meet the needs of the students in research. It introduces students to knowledge acquisition and application from planning and designing to building theories, choosing research methods and design, gathering data and information and presenting the final research project. The module can be used as a practical guide and resource to navigate through each stage of research the research paper; hence assisting them in conducting researches that might lead them to a more successful ventures on their world of work and expertise. VI. Module Outcomes At the end of the course, the students will be able to: •Accumulate basic information needed to understand the research process from idea formulation through analysis and interpretation of gathered data; •Design their own research investigation on a topic of personal interest and inclination through the knowledge they got; •Read and understand the researches of others since they have gone through the process of designing and evaluating their mown research project. VII. General Instructions You must allot the necessary time to complete the lessons each week. If you choose not to complete the lesson using the schedule provided, you must understand that it is your full responsibility to complete them by the last day of completion. Time is of the essence. The module is designed to assess student understanding of the assigned lessons found within the associated content of the midterm and final period of the course. The assessment part of the module is composed of varied types of questions.
