In statistics, a central tendency (or measure of central tendency) is a central or typical value for a probability distribution It may also be called a center or location of the distribution. When referring to central tendency it is normally referred to the mean, median, and mode. Usually the best measure of central tendency is the ordinary average, the sum of all the scores divided by the number of scores. In statistics, this is called the mean. The average, or mean, of a group of scores is a representative value. The mean is the sum of the scores divided by the number of scores and the mode is the value of the
