2Watershed Water is a very important thing in our lives, the average person uses over 200 gallons of water a day. We use water more then we might think, when you think about all the ways that someone might use water, you first think about things like drinking water, taking showers, cooking and even watering your garden and lawn. The thing that people do not think about is that water is used in so many different ways. Did you know that it takes 1779 gallons of water to produce 1 pound of beef? Ya cows drink a lot of water. It takes 37 of water to produce enough coffee beans for onecup of coffee. 2000 gallons of water are used to grow the cotton needed for one pair of jeans and it takes 2074 gallons to produce enough rubber for one tire on your car.
