Broadly speaking, what three different perspectives are we seeing in “The Content of the New Life Movement,” “Staff Adviser,” and “Spring Silkworms”? “Staff Adviser” is talking about the life of army headquarters who were very wealthy. In “Spring Silkworms”, Farmers did not have enough money to afford their normal lives. They have to sell the silk at the end of the year to earn money to pay the debt and buy their food. “The Content of the New Life Movement” is talking about Li, Yi, Lian, and Chi , which are the four virtues guided people’s lives in China.

In “Staff Adviser”, the staff adviser gets money from peasants who have been mentioned in Mao Tun’s “Spring Silkworms”. All the officers, township head and army headquarters are going to take little cut of their own. However, some peasants do not know that, they still have expectation to earn money at the end of the year....
