Cassie Morgan WVTT Lecture Feb. 12, 2008 - Normative heterosexuality leads to prejudices against people with same sex affection/desire/interests - gender propriety what to do in order to be correct/proper for our assigned gender - people are constantly changing expectations for each other - sex linked gender category at birth is determined by what the doctor says your gender is at birth based on genitalia - trans-gender crossing gender lines, refusing to conform to either male/female - trans-sexual when someone feels that they are in the wrong body. Feel that they want to switch to the opposite ender than that of the one designated at birth o f-m female to male o m-f male to female - transvestite dresses as if they are of opposite sex but does not necessarily want to be of the opposite sex. Typically for erotic purposes. - Sexual expression how one identifies themselves according to gender and who your desire is towards.
