Cassie Morgan Spanish: SPAN-152-001 Professor McCabe 31 October 2007 Los Días de Los Muertos Extra Credit The Day of the Dead exhibit at the National Museum of the American Indian was a great way to learn more about an important celebration of another culture. I was able to see some of the traditional dances performed at the celebrations, along with an alter/offering, the decorative sugar skulls, and papel picado. The offering was something that I could easily connect to because my mother has a small alter in our house dedicated to my Grandmother. On our alter, we have a picture of my Grandmother, her glasses, and a yellow butterfly. All of the items placed on our alter remind my family and I of my Grandmother. Although we could not decorate the sugar skulls, it was still nice to see how they
