Module 5 Reflection 2 Module 5 Reflection CL5103 In this class we have learned how to align standards, curriculum, and assessments in order to ensure that we have created the best possible lessons. I realized the importance of understanding both where I am coming from in my lessons and where I would also like my students to be when we have completed the unit. New Strategies for Curriculum and Instruction Prior to this course I knew that curriculum, instruction and standards are intertwines, but I did not know how they were intertwined and how important it is for them to work together In Module 1 we learned that “Curriculum, instruction, and standards must work together if students are going to learn important content and raise their academic achievement. We call this the achievement cycle. It is the close, interactive relationship of standards-based curricula, performance evaluation, and instruction that results in authentic learning.” (Gillenwaters, 2020)
