INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PLAN 3 Executive Summary Purpose of Report Business Plan for MediCorp to enter China’s $80 billion market for medical devices through a General Partnership with Zhejiang Dian Diagnostics Company Ltd. Medical devices are any devices used to treat, diagnose and monitor medical issues. This report will explain MediCorp’s strategic plan for entering an international market, determine its potential customers and project financial outcomes to continue as a going concern. Methods In conducting our analysis, the following steps were performed: Assessed the characteristics of MediCorp’s potential customers in China Identified main competitors in medical device industry in China Assessed market segment and growth to determine mode of entry Researched the impact of China’s legal, ethical and cultural standards on operations Projected financial estimates Findings and Conclusions While conducting the various research, it was noted that China is one of the most air polluted countries due to its rapid industrialization and urbanization (Lu, et.al, 2020). 4.2% of Chinese Adults (45.7 million) aged >20 years are reported to be asthmatic (Lu, et.al, 2020). More than 300 million Chinese smoke cigarettes every day. The Chinese health care equipment & supplies market is forecast to have a value of $70,226.5 million in 2023 (MarketLine, 2019). The prevalence of allergic airway diseases, such as asthma and rhinitis, has been increasingly common to epidemic proportions worldwide (Zhang, et.al, 2016).
