Myself as a Taoist Taoist following would significantly augment my regular day . If I were a strict Taoist , I would have spent my day with much more conservatively , patiently, and passively . The things in my day that would not be replaced would most definitely be altered , and my reactions, thoughts , and, most importantly, my attitude would have been different to a worldly extent . According to the Tao Te Ching in my understanding , most of my thoughts and actions would have been altered , assuming they still occurred at all . On this particular day , I took no heed to my actions and surroundings during the day, in anticipation of the weekend ahead . Had I been following the Tao , I would have taken a much more conservative approach to my actions . In my day , I recorded only my own thoughts; I took no consideration of others’ actions , and although this had no clear negative effect on this particular day , it is impossible to know what I would have experienced with a less careless approach in my daily activities .
