Tom Dahl English 110 A Crude Awakening It’s hard to imagine life without oil. That’s the exact same viewpoint that is stressed in the short film “ a crude awakening.” The film talks about how in recent history, oil has possessed politicians and citizens all over the world, and what life around the world will be like when we will eventually run out of it. The film also magnifies the United States and its growing demand for ‘the non-renewable source.’ In this short summary I will present some of the jaw-dropping facts stated in the film, some situations a lack of oil may bring to our country, and my resolutions to stop the bleeding. One of the major issues that the movie addresses is transportation. 98% of all transportation energy comes from oil. With depleting oil resources, methods of transportation will be a huge issue. Many experts have suggested hybrid cars or even the use of cars that run on e85 ethanol. Although that may help, few car owners view depleting oil resources as a major problem is today’s society, and even fewer have
