Intro to Journalism Dr. Nelson 9/02/2008 Chapter two The focus of this chapter was on the fact that there are many tools at the disposal of journalists and it is not that one tool has more power than the other; it is that the tools must become familiar and practiced with as much as possible. Three types of tools are discussed; they are physical, electronic, and mental tools. Part one talk about the basic foundational or classic tools used by journalist. Part two is about doing research in an electronic age. The World Wide Web provides a network between some of the best reporters around the world.
