Employees who are committed to the organizations tend to express their anger and open up only to leaders who created a relationship and are deemed trustworthy . This type of emotion can cause a positive change in the workplace and could be for everyone's good, suppressed emotions can lower job satisfaction and lead to a feeling of hopelessness that nothing will be changed to make the situation better. The workplace is normally a place where managers and higher ups try to keep an emotion free environment. Anger and yelling can be seen as aggressive and belittling behavior and most of the time unprofessional. There are times when the expression of anger is harmful or unprofessional, but sometimes it is for everyone's good.I Have experienced this in the workplace mostly because I work with kids in an afterschool program/ camp environment. Where sometimes the kids and counselors can get worked up and it could seem like there is no structure so my boss would yell to get everyone's attention and to restore order. This didn't make me feel any specific way because I knew what thepurpose behind his actions were. But in other environments yelling can be a negative thing especially if multiple people are yelling, someone may feel like they are being disrespected and asituation can escalate very fast.
