Copple 1 The world today is so diverse because there are so many different types of people and cultures that inhabit it. All these different cultures mean everyone has a different way of doing things. One of the key things that affect the way these types of cultures survive is the type of technology they use. With the use of right technology in their environment they can strive for success, but if they practice the wrong type, or don’t have any idea of how to use technology, then they are on a road to poverty. Less developed and developing countries are the key people in this category. These countries are struggling on which technology to follow, based on the influences they are getting from industrialized countries. There are three main types of technologies: appropriate technology, high technology, and shared technology. Depending on the countries that border the developing countries, is where they achieve their influence from. Some countries may also try to force their type of technology on them, so they become more like the rest of the world; this is mainly true for countries with high technology. Appropriate technology seems to be the most key practice to follow. Those who use appropriate technology think about the environment, the values of the culture, and the specific economical aspects of the certain city. Because of all this thought that takes place before bringing in the technology, it uses less recourses, it does not cost as much, there is low maintenance, and it is environmentally favored. Developing countries who adopt appropriate technology will be better off than countries who use the other technologies because appropriate technology uses technology that is best for the environment that is already there without having to build huge factories and use machines.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
