Theory:DSCH program is a simulator and logic editor. It allows designers to design digitalcircuits using schematic entry at switch and gate level. The technology libraries of DSCH,as displayed below, are generic or silicon-technology-independent that allows designersfreedom to target their designs to both Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC)and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA).The digital circuits that perform encoding of digital information are called encoders whiledigital circuits that decode the coded digital information are called decoders. An encoder with enable pins is called multiplexer while a decoder with enable pins iscalled demultiplexer.Multiplexer:A Multiplexer is a device that allows one of several analog or digital input signals which areto be selected and transmits the input that is selected into a single medium.2 to 1 MultiplexerA 2-to-1 multiplexer consists of two inputs I0 and I1, one selector input A and one output Q.Depends on the select signal, the output is connected to either of the inputs. Since there are twoinput signals only two ways are possible to connect the inputs to the outputs, so one selector isneeded to do these operations.Fig. 1: 2 to 1 multiplexercircuit with truth table.4 to 1 MultiplexerA 4-to-1 multiplexer consists four data input lines as D0 to D3, two select lines as S0and S1 and a single output line Y. The select lines S1 and S2 select one of the four inputlines to connect the output line. The particular input combination on select lines selects
