Ravalli : 1 My field trip to the woods behind the Ellicott complex was one to be remembered. It seems clear to me that I’m not the type to enjoy the outdoors. I tried to stay the amount of time that was required but I just couldn’t due to the heavy rain on the day that I decided to go. I did stay there for a good amount of time however and I did observe what I feel is enough to complete this assignment. I found that there was energy transformation or at least what I thought could be considered energy transformation. While I was standing in the woods I did look around and I saw that there was a surprising amount of worms on the ground which I’m guessing had to do with the rain. The worms, I felt, contributed to energy transformation because they’re decomposers. What I mean is they break down dead organic materials and place the energy from those materials back into the ground to be used by living organic materials.
