According to College Success, critical thinking “is the ability to discover thevalue of an idea, a set of beliefs, a claim, or an argument,” (College Success,2015). Critical thinking is a method used to draw conclusions using evidence andinformation (College Success, 2015). In my own words, I would define criticalthinking as evaluating information to do the opposite of drawing conclusions.It’s true that while, in the context of professors and professionals, criticalthinking is a process using the information to come to a conclusion, for me, asa student, critical thinking is the unraveling of that process and discoveringeach piece of information used that eventually led to that conclusion. This isbecause ignorance on a topic makes me vulnerable to bias. So in this way, bypeeling away each layer and examining the information that led to theconclusion, I can see for myself if the source is unbiased or not. For instance,some people might come to different conclusions using the same information
