Brittany Rae Salopek Megan Ward English 111 GE 12/06/06 A Portfolio of Improvement As a whole I think my writing has really progressed throughout this semester. I have always told myself that English was just not my strong stand point and I would attempt to veer away from the subject. From rereading over my work I was rather impressed with my writing skills and use of a descriptive vocabulary; now from editing the papers one last time, I think I have created some very well written pieces. I analyzed each writing and was happy to notice that each one had its own ‘vibe.’ For the autoethnography assignment, I really hyped up the depictive descriptions. I shoved my original introduction down to the second paragraph and wrote an entirely new intro that really grabs the reader’s attention. Here and there I found a few grammatical errors, and along with fixing those I added more depth into the paper to round it out. Finally, I tried to beef up my conclusion a little more.
