Good luck! 1- What was “common” about the Common Schools Movement as argued by Horace Mann and others? Because commons schools were free of charge, they were a way of getting both rich and poor children to learn. Horace Mann believed that because everyone in a common school learned common material, it would give everyone a shot at success. 2- Give one example of the use of national symbols in the Common Schools and briefly explain why was this symbol have been used in schools. One Example of the use of national symbols in the common schools would be doing the pledge of allegiance. This symbol was used in schools to help promote the pride and faith for the country. It helped to make the children feel that they were a big part of the country
