Journal 10 June 14: I had never seen Schindler’s list until today. It had such meaning after studying this topic for so long and having been to Podgorze and Plaszow. The movie really captured my attention with how it was possible for people to do more to save and in their own way resist the Nazi’s complete control. Schindler started out as a supporter of the Nazi party looking to make a quick buck and profit from the war and everything that went with it. To me the turning point in his motives behind running the factory was when he allowed the woman’s parents in to work. He had origionally yelled at her and told her to leave that he couldn’t help her safe her parents by getting them a job in the factory but he eventually had pity on them and decided that saving them was worth more than possibly his reputation and his own life. To me that was when his morals shifted and he really realized that he could make a difference and save people. During our
