There are an estimated 25,000 School Psychologists in the United States. 48.1% of them are men and 51.7% are women. The majority of the division is white (80.3%). Only 2% are African American, 2.7% Hispanic, 1% Asian and .1% American Indian. The bulk age in this field is 55-59 years old (19.9%), and only .75% is under 30 years old. Educational Characteristics of School Psychologists (2005) are 67.3% have a Ph.D., 10.4% have an Ed.D. 7.9% have a Psy.D. 2.) School Psychologists work with students in elementary and secondary schools. They collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students. The major interests of School Psychologist are children, families, and schooling process. A big portion of School Psychology is working to improve education and health. Division 30- Psychological Hypnosis 1.) 72.8% of Psychological Hypnosis are men, and 27.2% are women. 87.7% of the division is white, 1.5% is black, 1.4% is Hispanic, .9% is Asian, and only .1% is American Indian. 22% are of the age of 55-59, and only .1% is under 30 years old. Educational Characteristics of Psychological Hypnosis (2005) are 77% have their Ph.D., 7.8% have a Ed.D., and 6.5% have a Psy.D. 2.) Psychological Hypnosis can be used as one element in a treatment plan to control symptoms such as anxiety, panic attacks and phobias. Hypnosis brings together psychologists and other professionals interested in scientific and applied hypnosis. The duty is to teach the profession and the public, to develop new and modern clinical interventions and research methods, and to evaluate current treatment approaches designed to improve human well being.
