Schools take multiple backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures and blend them into a single identity. How do schools exercise social control ? --Teach us the norms, values, and behaviors of society. --We learn how to be productive, prioritize, and behave properly. How can education work for social change ? Education forces us to use free and critical thinking and to question power structures and dynamics. What is the hidden curriculum ?
