As advisor to the President of the United States, one finds that they must be prepared to adequately counsel on several different topics. They involve many topics that are extremely controversial and heatedly debated throughout the country. There are some that would argue the level of importance that each of them represent. However, the general issues of great interest in today’s world are fighting the global war on terrorism, protecting the environment, eliminating poverty, and improving education. One will soon find that there are many differing opinions and strategies devised daily to be used in solving these issues, but as of yet nothing has been significantly successful. As a highly respected and knowledgeable advisor to the President myself, I believe that I have found the answers to all of the troublesome issues that have been plaguing our fine leaders for years. They arise from a totally unexpected but rich source, the Tao Te Ching , or Daodejing as it is called in today’s modern world. This small but mighty Chinese text written by a man named Lao-tzu is, among other things, a dissertation on the art of government. One has to only derive the pure and true meaning of it’s proverbs and abide by them. The first subject covered would be fighting the global war on terrorism.
