Zach Garcia Honors 112 The Golden Ass Stuff The Golden Ass was one of the better books that we have read in the honors course, in my opinion. I enjoyed the use of famous characters in the story such as Socrates and Cupid. I really liked the format of the book as well. The short stories that are intertwined into the main part of the book keep the story light and interesting. They really help to break some of the monotony of the book. Some parts of the book were dragged out and dull but for the most part this did not feel like an honors book but something that I would read for pleasure. I did think that there could have been more from the lecture. With such an interesting book with many different parts I think that the lecture only covered a portion of the book and really skimmed the surface. I was talking to my friend and he told me some stuff that was very interesting about the book and I was expecting something more along those lines for the lecture. What he told me was that in the preface they talked about the fact
