Zach Garcia Honors 111 Symposium Love like this This was a very strange book the more and more that I think about it. Everything that I hear about this book makes me change what I think about it. I can see where people in class are coming from. I see how Lucas said that love is not an emotion but a cause for other emotions. My personal beliefs do not mirror that view but I understand what he is saying. But even after hearing everybody else’s thoughts on the book I am still confused about what this book was talking about. Because the love that was being talked about is Eros, or a very lustful and put frankly a horny type of love, why were these people talking about such strange things? Most of the people that gave a speech at the party was talking about finding your other half, or the great type of love that is so illusive to most. But after hearing the lecture and some others speak on the subject it was clear to me that most of them were just talking about finding a young apprentice that they wanted to have a
