Tracheophytes: includes vascular plants with seeds (angiosperm and gymnosperm) 05. Vascular bundle (vein): a strand of vascular tissues (xylem and phloem) that conducts materials throughout the plant body 06. Vascular tissue system: the tissue system that conducts materials throughout the plant body 07. Sporecyte 08. Sporangium: a spore case; the structure within which spores are formed in plants, certain protests, and fungi 09. Prothallius: fern gametophyte with attached young sporophyte; the free-living, haploid gametophyte plant in ferns and other seedless vascular plants; heart-shaped 10. Rhizome : a horizontal underground stem that often serves as a storage organ and a means of asexual reproduction 11. Rhizoid : one of the hairlike absorptive filaments that form part of the gametophytes of bryophytes and some vascular plants 12. Microphyll : one vein 13. Megaphyll : main veins 14. Sorus (Sori) : cluster of sporangium with a cover of indusus 15. Indusium : the protective membranous covering of the sori of certain ferns 16. Tetrad : produced during meiosis ; the four new cells made from the single cell
