Cordero Mobley Section 08 August 31, 2006 Standards of Professional Behavior and Ethical Conduct No matter where you are in the world or what type of organization you may belong to, every establishment has its set of rules and behaviors that its members are expected to abide by; and the College of Business at Illinois State University is no different. With the College of Business Standards of Professional Behavior and Ethical Conduct , the College of Business clearly outlines what is expected from everyone associated with the organization. Sometimes the expected behavior of individuals is implicit, meaning not written down. For example, I have never read a rule that states that silence is mandatory in a library. However, it is a rule that simply goes without saying. Similarly, the College of Business expects its associates to act in a manner that should not differ from our behavior and conduct outside of the College of Business. Such as, members of the College of Business are expected to act with honesty and respect; which are behaviors that individuals should practice everyday regardless of whether it is required. But
