Steve Kaplan Essay Number 4 Sacred Heart University and many other colleges around the country view the facebook and myspace pages of their student athletes. Many people have a problem with this as they feel it is an invasion of privacy and free speech. This argument has been going on for a long time. Sacred Heart University has the right to view student’s facebook and myspace pages because the students know they are going to look at them. It is up to the individual university whether or not to view their athletes networking pages and what the punishment would be if they found something immature on the web. The athletes must sign a waiver form at the beginning of the year telling them that the college is going to periodically view their pages. It may seem unfair that it is only the student-athletes with restrictions but they are given money to go to the school. They are using the school’s money and have to represent the school in a good and fashionable way that the school would like.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
