The Electoral College is the process of president and viose president are chosen instead of the popular vote by the nation.This process was written by the founders in the U.S. constitution They are chosen by 538 electors. Each state has two senate, but representatives based on the state’s population. A majority of 270 of electoral votes is required to elect the president. Abolishing it means to change it.The Electoral College system should change because it mostly is the reason why people don’t vote. George C. Edwards argeus, “The Electoral College violates political equality.” ( Doc. D). This system is not an opperperiate devise to count votes like how democracy works. Most people might think their votes will not count depending where they vote for president. Just because of a states population, how IIIinoise have twenty Electoral votes by it self and other 12 states including DC have about the same population but 44 Electoral votes.
