Determining Levels of Prevention 2 Determining Levels of Prevention In scenario one the level of prevention that it addresses is secondary prevention based on the fact that the woman had already been battered prior to seeking help. The social worker is helping the woman after the fact by helping her seek shelter and safety away from her abuser. What was done by the worker in this scenario works in this situation because the worker did everything in his/her power in order to contain the situation from getting out of control by having available resources to use to prevent any further violence from taking place, as well as keeping the best interest of the abused at the fore front by getting her into a secure location away from the abuser and not indulging any compromising information to the abuser that would cause further danger to the abused. I would have not changed anything about the way
