Communication and Research Test 2 Content analysis (always text) - primarily Quantitative method of categorizing and describing communication messages in specific contexts. Interaction analysis - is quantitative method, used to make influences about the effects of manipulating verbal and non verbal communication behaviors dyadic and group inter. Descriptive Claim - assertions on how to characterize sine particular communication phenomenon. Interpretive claims - claims about how communicators create and interpret meanings Ethnography - A way of studying social settings or situations that privileges the participants meanings by using participant observations, perhaps along with interviews and/or text analysis. Ethnographic interviews - Informal conversations and story telling between participants and researchers. Quality Rules - 1. Ethics 2. Triangulation 3. Heuristic 4. Internal Validity 5.
