Introduction Project management, as per Demirkesen and Ozorhon (2017), is the method of managing a project by utilising knowledge, skills, techniques, experience etc. in order to complete the project within a specified time. The project managers lead the team and work together towards the achievement of the common goal. Within the constraints, the objective of the project has to be successful achieved, and it has been noted as the major challenge in project management. The current report is the business plan in order to successfully accomplish the project of the construction of the Gigafactory at Austin, Texas, by Tesla. Moreover, the project management methodologies and tools in order to successfully implement the project will be detailed in the report. The social, economic and cultural influences on the human resource management for the successful completion of the project will be outlined in the report. Additionally, for the successful delivery, the role of quality and risk management in the project will be comprehended in the report. Project Planning It is the duty of the project manager to set a fruitful project plan for the successful completion of the project. In the viewpoint of Mardiani (2018), the scope, schedule and cost for the mission will be described in the project plan. The task or the activities in the project and the resources required will be included in the project plan. It has been observed that a good plan will record the risk and risk management strategies and the communication strategy in order to keep the investors of the project up to date. Planning is an important method in the project to identify the associate elements and to carry out the project efficiently. According to Urbański et al. (2019), in the method of planning, initiation is the first step carried out in the planning stage and incorporates the document of the business-case where the feasibility of the project in terms of benefit and cost will be detailed. The involvement of the stakeholders is to be mentioned in the plan. The scope of the project, timeline and budget have to be discussed to understand their interest in the project. Goal prioritisation is the next step in the project planning stage, where the team has to be included. The deliverables of the project have to be identified and to define the success factor in each deliverable. Besides, the metrics need to be developed to rank and track each one. Scheduling where the timeline for 2
each task will be set, and finally, the challenges and risks with the project will be recorded, and the suitable plan to address the risks will be included ( Vareilles et al., 2015).
