Matthew Larson Abel Stewart 2/3/08 Concert Review The concert I saw and chose to review was that of the band Zoso, a truly spectacular Led Zeppelin cover band. The band played on Saturday, February 2, at the Newport Music Hall. I decided to go to this concert for my first concert review because I am a big fan of Led Zeppelin and wanted to see if this cover band was capable of living up to the giant of the band they were covering. Since seeing the real Led Zeppelin would be either very hard or very expensive, I decided this was a great alternative and an enjoyable show. Zoso opened with “What Is And What Should Never Be,” which first appeared on Led Zeppelin’s Led Zeppelin II . The song starts with blues inspired guitar riffs but then explodes into a hard rock sound during the choruses. Right from the start, the band showed they were able to play Zeppelin’s music with both talent and confidence. The lead singer pranced around the stage with the exact same motions as a circa 1970s Robert Plant. He obviously loved the music he was
