CHAPTER 1, Course Objectives Overall I believe that the course objectives laid out in the syllabus have been accomplished to a high degree. When looking at section 1 of the course objectives, develop and improve ability to solve problems with spreadsheets and 21 st century computer-based engineering problem solving packages, I think of all the things that we did all three teachers, Dr. Wells, Dr. Whitman and Mr. Zukoski. Dr. Whitman showed us a lot of techniques that involved using Microsoft Excel to make spreadsheets that would handle simple calculations, which, already this year, has saved me hours of work on certain projects. Then Dr. Wells and basically everything that we did in Matlab helped me, because we learned how to use Matlab to solve complex, physics-type problems. Then Mr. Zukoski even had a section of his course in which we
