Mission Statement“Provide new teachers with necessary differentiated support that will help them grow as teachers and life-long learners. This system of support will focus on student achievement with the goal of all students receiving high quality and equitable education. The induction program will allow for new and veteran teachers to collaborate, creating a positive culture and climate for all teachers in the building. The induction program will allow for each new teacher to be placed with a mentor to provide ongoing support throughout their first year in the building” (Poljak, 2020, p.2).
Session Purpose: The purpose of this session is to ensure that all new teachers are prepared for the new and exciting journeys as teachers. We want to promote strong collaboration between all teachers. We will be reflecting upon assessment data in order to understand the needs of our students. We will work collaboratively to develop a relevant and rigorous lesson in order to keep our students engaged.
