Spanish Grammar 5 (p.55-68) o Imperfect (el imperfecto) o When both a direct and an indirect object pronoun appear in a sentence the indirect object that refers to the person precedes the direct object pronoun, which refers to the thing. o When both the indirect object and direct object pronouns are both in the third person the indirect object pronoun is replaced by se o The imperfect o The first and third person singular forms are identical o No stem change or yo irregularity in any verb o Actions or situations that were not finished or that were in progress o Things that describe the background for another action, the time/place/etc. o Were or was going to do something/used to do something
