2 Islamic government is viewed in different aspects all around the world by Muslims . Each and every Muslim has their own view and opinion on how the Islamic government should be and how it should rule . Some Muslims want the government to be secular and more open to modern teachings and rules . On the other hand , some Muslims want the Islamic government to be more religious and fundamentalist Islamic society and government . Egyptian Editorialist Farag Foda was one of those writers who said that the Islamic government should be more secular and needs to stop discriminating against other religions . Whereas , Usama Bin Laden wants the whole entire Muslim community and society to be one hundred percent Islamic and fundamentalist . Farag Foda was an Egyptian who was shot in 1992 by two extremists Islamists . One of his works critiques the Islamic movements in Egypt . In his article “Before the Fall , ” Foda critiques Islamic movements in Egypt in the years 1989 and 1992 and states that the Islamic government and society needs to be more secular

3 and needs to stop discriminating against non-Muslims . This article was written in the defense of Egypt . Foda criticizes how Egyptian Muslims are differentiated from Coptic Egyptians (353) . This stirs up Foda’s anger at the Islamic government because the government is being discriminating and immoral . Foda states that “I cannot accept the notion that someone would call upon a group of Egyptians to refrain from taking the initiative to greet another group of Egyptians” (353)
