Koppelman Essay p. 102 Dr Koppelman has obviously experienced quite a lot during his life time. It was interesting reading about some of his childhood experiences in rural Nebraska. I enjoyed how he was able to talk about his experiences in school when girls were apart of all activities, and when girls and guys were “segregated”. One line from Koppelman book that stuck out at me was, “What did they do with all those blue ribbons?” It made me think of what it would be like if that up until a certain age I was told I could compete with anyone, and know that I was better than some people and then all of the sudden have to stop because it was socially unacceptable.
