STUDENT – SAYANTAN SARKAR Executive Summary The End of Course paper is structured to summarize all the leadership principles discussed throughout the semester for the Organizational leadership class. The company I have chosen for the paper is my organization, Westport Capital Partners (“WCP”). WCP is a private equity fund with multiple investment arms and their affiliates. As discussed by J. Schaubrowck 1 , the following characteristics are very useful to make a company successful: a. Organization leadership styles b. The Organization cultures c. Individual employee satisfaction d. Organization strategy e. Managing conflicts by the Organization Leadership is all about impacting a group of people and motivating them to succeed. A true leader is someone who manages communication well, has excellent motivational strength, is very strong in ethics and always follow a world view/ perspective. This paper explains the leadership qualities of WCP, who have grown from a small boutique investment fund to a midsize fund with investment size of $3 Bn AUM in real estate and $3 Mb AUM in private equity investments. This is one of the primary reasons to select WCP, as it has a significant impact to US real estate, and its continuous contribution towards unconventional real estate investment.
