Graphical Analysis Objective: To become familiar with some principles of graphical analysis for use in later laboratories. Apparatuses used: A simple pendulum consisting of a stand, string, and a 497 gram mass. For measurements a meter stick and a stopwatch were used. Procedure: We timed 20 oscillations of the pendulums swing by setting the mass at a 5 degree angle, letting go, then timing the oscillations with the stopwatch. Between trials the only variable we changed was the length of the string. Then we input the timed trials and lengths into KyPlot to observe the relationship between pendulum period and string length.
