Hunter’s Lease - jurisdiction over states Dartmouth College v. Woodward - contracts McCulloch v. Maryland - national bank is constitutional & states can’t tax it Cohens v. VA - jurisdiction over states Gibbons v. Ogden - govt. control of interstate commerce Burr Controversy- wanted NY to secede- killed Hamilton in a duel- tried for treason
