Down By the Bay Where the Watermelon Grows… Straight down Huff Street and off to the right is Lake Winona. To the lake I walked in the hot sun and the cool wind. As soon as I got there, my senses were assaulted. As I sat on an old wooden dock by the lake basking in the sun, a question crept into my head. What do I see? What do I really see? This question led to more. Why is the wind so broken? What is that smell? What’s that taste on my tongue? What am I feeling? Has this dock always been this way? How have things changed? All of these questions swirled in my head. As all these thoughts ran through my mind, I went back to the first. What do I see? I looked around and the colors swam before me. The green of the swaying trees, the brown of the earth, the bright colors of the bikers and joggers as they went by. Everything was so sharp in the bright sun. As I squinted my eyes, I saw an astounding thing: a small blue butterfly flitting about over the water. He floated on the air, diving down then pulling up just before he’d break the surface. After a while he landed on a yellow flower. I thought of high school, back to the rivalry between Shakopee and Prior Lake, red and black versus blue and gold. I thought about how easy high school was and how much I wish I could go back even though I know I need to grow up. Just like the butterfly had to emerge from its cocoon, so must I.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
