Instructor Kraemer November 23, 2010 Intro to Athletic Training Reflective Essay Choosing a career is never an easy thing to think about. Taking this class has really opened my eyes as to what I want to do with my life and also opened up my eyes to who I am as a person. Learning about all the equipment and techniques that are used was very interesting and I was intrigued by the athlete/athletic trainer interaction in the athletic training room. I’ve dealt with athletic trainers all my life as a volleyball player and I’ve always admired the dedication and heart that my trainers put into their job. They always put so much care into what they do and you could truly see that they love what they are doing. On our clinical education tour, I thought I would really enjoy this class and learning all the things I’d need to know to become an athletic trainer. It was cool to go visit all of the places that I would be involved with in the future as an athletic training student. During clinical education, my interest in this career was even more indulged. We got to go through a case study and learn new terminology that would be useful in the future. I enjoyed
