Provide your definition of cultural competence.My definition of cultural competence is having the knowledge and experience to understand and work with someone from another culture. The prior knowledge that a social worker possesses of a client's culture does not mean that social workers are the subject matter expert on their client's culture; however, they should demonstrate their ability to accept learning more about that person's culture. Explain how this is similar or different to the Kirst-Ashman and Hull textbook describe cultural competence.According to(Kirst-Ashman & Hull, 2018, p. 469), "Cultural competence is the ability to apply knowledge and skills to social work practice with diverse groups.
