Elena Rothstein Due 2/21/12 Comp Lit 231 RP 4 State and Main The movie State and Main is a clear parody of the film-making industry and its players. The director of the movie is a control freak who cares very little about the personal lives of the people working under him. The actors and actresses are all messed up in their own ways, but are given special treatment no matter how badly they screw up. The producer of the movie is a corrupt man who is willing to pay people off to get what he wants. Everywhere these people go they leave chaos in their wake. They began filming at a small town in New Hampshire but they are no longer allowed in the state because of the bad behavior of the lead actor, Bob Barrenger. Now, in a new town in Vermont they are bringing the same havoc. Bob, who has an affinity for underage girls, gets into the same trouble as last time. He sets his sights on a young girl named Carla. She, one of his biggest fans, is ready and willing to do whatever he wants, including hiding their affair from the townspeople, until she finds him with another woman.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
