1 question about fossils in evolution...which time period 1 question about the difference between all prokaryotic cells vs eukaryotic cells...know that they don't have prokaryotic cells don't have nucleus (I eliminated the choices vacuole and membranes obviously) 1 question asked why there's less oxygen when there's high altitude .... I didn't know that one 2 on the cell cycle and meiosis...for the cell cycle they asked during which phase is there the most cell growth so I answered the G1 phase. 2 or 3 questions on classification...very straight forward- which is the most general? I answered Kingdom obviously (they didn't mention domain) 3 questions where you had to sort of match the questions with xylem, phloem, parenchyma cells and meristem...very straight forward with that... 3 or 4 questions on the geologic time scale...what era is the end of dinosaurs, something about fossils 4 on mutualism, parasitism, habituation, imprinting...you had to match them up A decent amount on roots & similar plant systems A great diversity of evergreen broadleaved trees, vines, and epiphytes is found here. Answer: Tropical rain forest A lot of graphs A question asking if an oxygen 18 isotope was involved in photosynthesis, where would it end up in the reactants? A question on the problem of introducing an exotic plant into an environment A story about Darwin's finches - why did they develop big beaks (I thought it was because the small beak ones can't open the big seeds so they died out) Active & passive transporting An increase in leaf surface area will increase water loss Animal relationships: parasitism, communalism, mutualism, symbiosis, saprophyte asked in which organelle is the grana found in (chloroplast) asked where is site of photosynthesis Bacteria that help cow digest cellulose is an example of...? mutualism barely any on ecology- I'm happy I didn't go crazy memorizing all the terms Bile emulsifies fats into small droplets Birds and grasshoppers excrete uric acid (hard crystals) blood cycle, I got a question with alternating choices like :a. heart--> pulm artery--> lung-->Pulm vein--> heart (I wish I memorized that!) Blood flow & oxygenating of blood bottleneck effect Breaking down food to small pieces is digestion CELLULAR RESPIRATION: Glycolysis, Krebs Cycle, Electron Transport System, ATP, ADP, know where each stage happens!!!!! I would say I had about 10 questions on cellular respiration!!! chordata CO2 - when is it produced and by whom? animals? plants? both? Commensalism Competition conjugation

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
